Great location. Lovely staff. Superb breakfast, especially the pancakes! Easy from the airport. Rooms very clean with safe and fridge. Would definitly recommend if travelling alone. Felt very safe in the area and easy to get to shops and attractions

This is a 3 star hotel with good location and very good service. My business room on the 9th floor was large and comfortable. The view was lovely and the room was quiet. I wasn't bothered by street noise unlike some of my colleagues that were on the 2nd floor and complained about street noise from the trams. The room was also clean and the only downside was the shower that was quite small. The heating system was not operating fully the first night but they brought up an auxiliary radiator immediately and that took care of things. In all, service by the front desk crew was superb. They were very helpful with info regarding taxis, directions and everything Oslo. Breakfast was great with lots of selections. Location is close to the palace and the national theater but all attractions including the harbor, opera house and the Munch museumare within walking distance. Also, plenty of good restaurants around. Price was moderate.

I loved this hotel! It was easy to get to from the airport and close the the main shopping street. The staff were all amazing, everyone I dealt with was always happy to help and the help they gave was top notch, no question was too difficult for them. The staff all made me feel very welcome which is very much appreciated when you are a solo traveler in a new city for the first time. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The bed was comfy and the chairs were too. I was very hot a lot of the time but that might just be me (I wasn't very cold the entire trip). The TV has the ability to screencast from your phone which was a bonus as all the channels were in Norwegian. Towels, washcloths and toiletries were provided. There was an iron and ironing board hidden in a cupboard which was great. There is a lift too which is always helpful when they put you on the 6th floor. There is a cafe attached which is where breakfast is served but they are also open for dinner, the goulash soup was very tasty. Breakfast was really good too. There was a massive selection, from lota of breads and cereal to traditional hot food as well as fruit and veg, juices, coffee and tea. There is also a very popular restaurant about 30 seconds up the road that specializes in pork dishes that was very good. The staff offered to make me a reservation for this restaurant when I asked about it too. I plan to travel to more parts of Norway in the future but if I ever go back to Oslo I will 100% be staying at the Thon Hotel Europa again, I cannot recommend it highly enough!!!

My wife and I spent 3 nights at Thon Hotel Europa from Dec. 2nd - 5th, and are very impressed by their excellent customer service. The front desk staff were so helpful providing all the information we needed as well as giving us some useful recommendations. The room is small but absolutely clean. The breakfast provided plenty of delicious food, and the kitchen staff members are very friendly. I'd highly recommend everyone who travels to Oslo, and I'll defiantly be back if I come back to Oslo.
